Before departure :
At local level :
- participant's evaluation by AFS volunteers
- Preparation thanks to intercultural learning meetings,
- encounters with former participant
In the hosting country :
- selectionof a host family by AFS volunteers
During the stay :
- Welcome meeting organised by the hostingcountry in order to facilitate the participant's integration.
- A team of AFS volunteers will provide support and the following of the participant all the stay long.
- Before going back to France, AFS partners of the chosen country organise a end-of-stay meeting where all the hosted persons of the same hosting country have the opportunity to see themselves again and to share each other's experience.
- This also occasion to make a more formal result and to prepare participants return. You can choose your destination among 50 countries including : Australia, New-Zealand, Japan, South Africa, Germany, Argentina, Austria, The United-States...
It includes : -round trip Paris and domestic travel to host family-regional preparatory meeting-national preparatory day-selection of a host family and school-accomodation and meals-school fees-individual follow up support during the stay-registration fees on both local and national level-personal liability insurance, health/repatriation insuranc”e-cancellation refund (in case of accident, unemployment or exam failure) NB : certain variable expenses can't be included in the overall cost : visa, pocket money, domestic travel (in France).
